  The Novel Device Laboratory (NDL ) , affiliated to the college of nuclear science and technology, is a key laboratory of Beijing Normal University. It has the experiences and facilities required for carrying out researches and graduate education in physics and technologies of novel semiconductor devices, semiconductor photonics. It provides design services and conducts cooperative researches in silicon based novel photodetectors with/for research group all over the world.

       The Silicon Photomultipliers (SiPMs) products, developed by NDL and fabricated by a professional foundry have distinguish features as follow:

       1. Employ epitaxial bulk layer as the quenching resistors for the micro APD cells.

       2. Small “dead area”, high micro cell density, fast recovery time, high time resolution, large dynamic range and low cost.

       3. Particularly suitable to Positron Emission    Tomography (PET), spectroscopy measurement and other low level light detections where high space, high energy and high time resolution as well as high PDE and large dynamic range are  mandatory needed.
